The Raymarine EV-150 hydraulic autopilot is the perfect solution for small to medium-sized fishing and cruising vessels with hydraulic steering systems. The EV-150 system is designed specifically for vessels with steering system ram displacements ranging from 4.9 cubic centimeters (80cc) to 14.0 cubic centimeters (230cc). The kit is only intended for vessels with 12-volt DC electrical systems

The EV-150 Hydraulic pilot can be used in motorboats with a hydraulic steering system. The EV-150 Hydraulic pilot is designed for recreational boats with a working cylinder capacity of 80cc-230cc and a supply voltage of 12V. The pilot consists of a Type1 hydraulic pump, a p70Rs control unit, a new nine-axis sensor EV-1 and an ACU-150 pump control unit. The Evolution series course computers have a nine-axis sensor with AST function. Evolution autopilots also work without a rudder angle sensor, but we still recommend adding one if possible. In the case of Volvo-Penta drive legs, a special installation kit must also be added to connect the rudder angle sensor. Be prepared for the fact that the steering hydraulic hoses on your boat will have to be modified a bit. Usually, tees for the pump must be added and a third hose must be led back from the pump to the steering gear.
Kit includes:
- EV1 Sensor Core: The EV1 is designed for Evolution mechanical and hydraulic autopilot systems. The SeaTalkng network connection allows a single cable connection to the Evolution ACU (Actuator Control Unit) and other SeaTalkng and NMEA2000 networks.
2. ACU-150: The ACU-150 provides power and control over the Raymarine Type-1 hydraulic steering system (M81120). It connects to other components via the SeaTalkng network and provides connectivity to a rudder angle sensor (sold separately). Operates on 12V DC systems only.
3. p70R / p70Rs Autopilot Control Unit: The p70R / p70Rs control unit is designed for motorized scales and features touchpads and a rotary knob. It features a precise LED backlight and a wide viewing angle display.
4. Type 1 Hydraulic Pump (12V): The hydraulic pump works with the ship’s steering system, providing precise steering as part of the Raymarine autopilot system. It can be used with existing hydraulic steering systems or with mechanical steering systems with the addition of an additional rudder angle ram.
5. Evolution Wiring Kit – R70160: The wiring kit includes all the components required to connect the unit to a SeaTalkng network.
Recommended Accessories: We recommend adding a Rudder Angle Sensor (M81105) for additional system accuracy.
